Aloha Kai Luau at Sea Life Park

Aloha Kai Luau at Sea Life Park was simply amazing! We had so much fun! You get so excited just driving to Sea Life Park because you get to look at the Kaiwi Channel and go round Makapu'u and view Rabbit Island from Sea Life Park. It's just a breathtaking view! So picturesque!

You check in at 4:30pm. There's 3 different packages: Silver, Bronze, and Gold. If you have the Gold package you get better seating for the show, and get to grab your food first, and a free picture. You can check out the packages here.

As you enter the park, you are warmly greeted by the staff with a lei, and they ask you to take a family photo with the scenic backdrop. Then at 5pm they open the Luau section where you are greeted with a Maitai or Pineapple juice, and you make your way to a yard full of Hawaiian activities. You can do lei making, Ulu Maika (Hawaiian Bowling), Fire Knife stick practice, Tatau (tattooing), fish net throwing, and hula accessories. The kids had fun!

After that they do coconut tree climbing, take out the roasting pig from the imu (ground stove), a review of the history and importance of the coconut, how to husk and crack the coconut with a stone, and how to make fire. So cool!

Then we ate the Luau buffet which had so much food, kalua pig, fresh catch fish, bbq chicken, salad, fried noodles, sweet potato, poi, steamed vegetable, rice, salad, bread, desserts and more. I was so stuffed.

The 7pm show is really nice. The cast is so talented. No mistakes. They danced many different dances from many island nations of the Pacific. Kahiko, Haka, Hula, Poi Balls, and more. There's a lot of comedy in the show to laugh and be entertained. They also celebrate couple's special days like birthday or anniversaries. We helped celebrate a couple's 21 year anniversary by the whole crowd dancing with the m to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love with You!" So cute! They finish the show off strong with 3 fire knife dancers! Including a Jr World Champion and he's so good! It's the best fire knife dance I've seen on the island! The show ends about 8pm.
